Bettina has significant experience in digital transformation in the health sector and an extensive track record in delivering major reforms in complex regulatory and stakeholder environments. Prior to joining Healthdirect Australia, Bettina was the interim Chief Executive Officer at the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA), where she also held roles as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive General Manager for industry and government.

In her role as CEO, Bettina ensures that Healthdirect Australia is operating optimally; with a highly engaged workforce, business resilience, capability engaging with risk, and exemplary governance, compliance and legal acumen.

She was Board Chair of the Australasian Institute for Digital Health from 2020 to 2024, and is a current Director on the Management Board of SNOMED International.

Travis Hodgson is the Deputy Chief Executive, leading the Services and Technology Division.

Travis is responsible for overseeing frontline service delivery, digital channels and technical infrastructure to strengthen organisational performance, technology capability and operational resilience.

Travis brings extensive executive experience across state and Commonwealth health departments, including health policy, strategy, digital health transformation, large-scale service operations, and performance improvement programs. He has led initiatives spanning whole-of-system strategy, ministerial advisory, intergovernmental relations, and stakeholder engagement to drive health reform and service innovation.

He holds a Masters in Health Services Management and has received multiple academic accolades for work in Health Economics, First Nations Health, and health system performance. Travis was also awarded an Australia Day Achievement Medallion for improving patient access through innovation, revenue optimisation, and clinical engagement.

Travis is a Graduate of the Company Directors Course through the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mitchell brings to the Executive Team a wealth of experience and expertise in healthcare strategy and evaluation, having played instrumental leadership roles across state and federal governments, community health and the tertiary sector, through successful initiatives in digital health strategy, architecture, research enablement, portfolio optimisation, and data operations and insights.

Mitchell heads up the Insights Division, leveraging rich data assets to enhance strategic planning, consumer experience and service evaluation capabilities.

Mark’s extensive experience across a broad group of industries, including the education, government and technology industries, provides our team and company with deep commercial insight and rigorous risk and financial management experience. Mark’s experience throughout much of his career as a CFO in large complex organisations, including universities and government, aligns with the complexity of the health sector and enables him to apply the highest governance standards while supporting a strategy that is commercial and promotes innovation.

Mark’s many years of experience as a C-suite executive working collaboratively with other corporate service functions has prepared him well for his current role as Chief Corporate Services Officer. In this role, Mark is responsible for ensuring corporate services are delivered in an integrated manner that supports core operations and the strategic objectives of the company.

His division covers a comprehensive range of corporate services including legal, risk management, human resources, commercial and procurement services, finance, reporting, regulatory oversight and the program management office, which all work together to drive improved performance across the organisation.

Matt is responsible for clinical governance, quality and safety across the national virtual care services of Healthdirect Australia, and for ensuring consumer perspectives are embedded in service design and delivery. A paediatric endocrinologist by background, he has held senior executive roles including Chief Medical Officer at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and Group Executive Director of Medical Services and Clinical Governance at Cabrini Health, where he led large multidisciplinary teams, stewarded major transformation programs and oversaw accreditation, risk and safety across complex hospital networks.

He is a Clinical Professor at the University of Melbourne, with an international reputation in scientific and clinical research, and has authored more than 130 original scientific peer reviewed publications.
